“It’s nice to purchase such a luxurious gift for loved ones. It’s great to support a small business. It’s even better to support a good person who makes an impression on her customers.”
The Woman Behind Dandles
Dana Haynes is proof that a hobby can become more than a side-hustle (that’s what the kids call it).
The Dandles creator poured her first candles in 1997.
It was just a hobby for Haynes, who worked as a local news anchor. She started small, selling candles to co-workers in 1999. She eventually expanded to in-home parties, craft fairs, and street markets.
Now, 25 years later, that hobby is a career.
Haynes sells thousands of candles each year in stores and online.
Dandles now offers 40+ scents. Five of those scents are from the original 1999 Dandles line. Haynes’ signature scents aren’t the only Dandles staples that have survived 25 years.
Every candle is still hand-poured in the Dandles studio.
Dandles still offers local candle refills.
And our original customers are still burning their favorite candles year after year.

“These are the best candles I have ever purchased. I’ve been a customer for more than 20 years and they consistently burn evenly and have a great scent throughout the burning process. ”
